Ivory

The Ivory is an academy for music students with one and two-year courses which is situated in Ooty, India. The site is situated between Lovedale Road and Hobert Road. The design particularly involved ways to maximize the extraordinary view opposite to the site by rhythmically arranging the blocks along with the contours that are steadily increasing at 2 m high, shoots up to the advantage in creating open spaces for recreation. The glazed wall faces south for both natural light to heat up the spaces and also a view of students practicing in the native landscapes while enjoying the spectacular view of mountain ranges.
